Augusta — Dolby Atmos Mix & Stereo Translation
Mixed "Augusta," a Columbia University graduate thesis film, in Dolby Atmos and supervised its translation to a 2.0 stereo deliverable.
Responsible for:
• Creating an immersive object-based Dolby Atmos mix to support the film's narrative and emotional arc
• Balancing dialogue, music, Foley, and environmental elements within a three-dimensional sound field
• Maintaining center-channel clarity while preserving natural spatial movement and depth
• Managing the Atmos-to-stereo fold-down with careful attention to phase coherence, tonal balance, and dynamic integrity
• Delivering a final mix optimized for both immersive theatrical playback and conventional stereo systems
Focused on ensuring that the emotional impact, spatial detail, and mix translation remained consistent across multiple playback formats.
